Villa La Borghetta is off the Incisa Valdarno exit of the motorway which is where a number of the clothing outlets are located. It looks very commercial when you exit. But then you drive through the woods and into the hills above Incisa and there is this gorgeous villa with 18 beautiful rooms.
The structure was a 14th century watchtower before being made into a villa, which explains its wonderful vantage point. It is surrounded by park and gardens, and there is a truly gorgeous infinity pool set among olive trees as well as a separate Jacuzzi that the owners plan to enclose in glass for winter use. Antiques and paintings from the 17th and 18th century comprise the furnishings.
The Terrace Junior Suites have a guaranteed terrace, while Junior Suites can have either a terrace or a Jacuzzi in the bathroom. Privilege rooms have a Jacuzzi bathtup in the bathroom. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Nine have a Jacuzzi tub and nine have a Jacuzzi shower. The hotel has WIFI everywhere, even at the pool! There is a very attractive restaurant with a chef who came from a Michelin-starred restaurant (Il Patriarca!). Meals are served outside during warm weather months. There is also a tiny cantina as well as an intimate bar. A small spa/wellness center is scheduled to open soon.
