Most vehicles used for tours or transfers are Mercedes E-class, V-class & 16 seat minibuses. However, JDB Ground retains the right to substitute a different vehicle type if necessary. Tour itineraries are subject to change due to site closings, inclement weather, strikes or other unforeseen circumstances. JDB Ground reserves the right to substitute a venue or site during a tour in the event the scheduled site is not available. In rare instances it may be necessary to reschedule the starting time of the tour; in such situations, clients will be notified in advance. Entrance fees to museums and exhibits are not included in the rate unless indicated, nor are gratuities for drivers and guides. Unless otherwise indicated in the tour description, tours begin at either 9:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. and are available daily. Preference for either morning or afternoon tour must be indicated at the time of booking. The guide will meet clients at their hotel, unless another meeting point is designated in the itinerary. Clients staying in private apartments will be advised of the meeting point in their tour confirmation. Rates are subject to change. A Day in Verona 8 Hours Visit the romantic city of Verona, famous for the story of Romeo and Juliet on this full day excursion from Venice by train*, departing the Venice Santa Lucia station at 9:00 a.m., and arriving Verona at 10:45 a.m. Meet your expert guide in the Verona train station, at the head of the track, and then enjoy a walking tour of the city's most famous monuments: Piazza Erbe, Church of San Zeno, Juliette's Balcony and the Arena. Take a break for lunch (to be paid directly) in the famous restaurant, 12 Apostoli where the owner will take you downstairs for an Aperitivo in his wine cellar to see the restaurant's recently discovered Roman ruins. Meet up with your guide and proceed by taxi into the countryside to the Valpollicella region to the de Buris winery to tour their 13th century frescoed villa and enjoy wine and extra virgin olive oil tasting. Return to the Verona station to board your train at 5:43 p.m., arriving in Venice at 7:09 p.m. * Private car and driver to Verona can be arranged if preferred, as can transportation from your hotel to the Venice train station.
