In rare instances it may be necessary to reschedule the starting time of the tour; in such situations, clients will be notified in advance. Entrance fees to museums and exhibits are not included in the rate unless indicated, nor are gratuities for drivers and guides. Palermo Walking Tour 4 Hours Meet your guide in the heart of Palermo 's historical center, at Quattro Canti (Four Corners), a famous crossroads with fine examples of 17th century Spanish Baroque architecture and lovely fountains. Stroll to Piazza Pretoria with its beautiful 16th century Florentine fountain and the City Hall, dating to 1463. Then visit a 12th century Greek Orthodox church, La Martorana, with its intricate Norman mosaics. Just opposite is the Arab Norman style church of San Cataldo, distinguished by three small red domes. The city's cathedral or Duomo, a fusion of Gothic, Arabic and Baroque architecture, was once a mosque - there is a verse of the Koran inscribed on one of its columns.
