Located just north of Villa D'Este directly on picturesque Lake Como, Villa Imperiale was built as a private residence in 1920. In 2006, it completed renovation of all 12 accommodations bringing them to a very high standard. One enters through the gates, and the gardens and lake are immediately visible. The lobby is small but beautifully appointed with details such as fresh flowers. The rooms are spacious and feature marble bathrooms and most rooms have full lake view. There is one set of connecting rooms for families. Perfect for honeymooners, the hotel has primarily king beds, and every room has a terrace where breakfast can be served. Facilities include a swimming pool right at the edge of the lake, private dock and a convenient ferry stop for the ferry that goes around the lake. Room 512 is a romantic junior suite with a very large bathroom with 2-person tub. The villa has high quality linens throughout. But the star in the crown is the villa's restaurant Imperialino, very well-known by the locals, with a gazebo on the lake where clients can have a private dinner. This is a wonderfully boutique and intimate property, yet it is convenient to Cernobbio for shopping or a gelato. JDB clients will check in at the Grand Hotel Imperiale across the street where parking will be offered, and hotel staff will assist them in going to the villa with their luggage. This is a little gem in a dead perfect location for that final night or two before leaving from Malpensa airport or for getting a trip to Northern Italy off to the perfect start.
