Unique in Italy, this property is the country estate of a direct descendent of the royal family of Italy. The accommodations are situated in three buildings, the most deluxe and expensive ones being in the 16th century Papal Villa and in the Fattoria. Beautiful rooms dedicated to famous racing horses are found in the Scuderie. All accommodations are within a gated entrance and are very quiet. The historical furnishings, many of which have been handed down through the royal family for hundreds of years, or come from the family's extensive art collection, offer a unique environment, with each room representing a different period in European history. Rooms vary in size, configuration and décor and none are connecting. The Oliviera Restaurant, in the ancient olive oil mill, offers a traditional and creative a la carte menu made with natural and organic local products. Superb organically produced wine is available for La Suvera's guests. In addition to a wonderful heated swimming pool and bar, facilities now include a health center where one can enjoy free use of the steam bath, fitness facilities and the Jacuzzi built inside a medieval cistern. Massage is also available. This is one sensational property and one JDB highly recommends for those who want to live with history, antiques and culture.
