Take the A12 Genova-Livorno Autostrada. Exit at Carrodano-Levanto. If driving south this exit is about 69 km. from Genoa or, if driving north, 30 km from La Spezia.
After the exit booth, turn left and follow the signs for Levanto and follow the SS 566d for about 12 km.
Shortly after arriving in Levanto, you will see a hospital on the right and a red church on the left. Turn left here at the roundabout and follow the signs for Monterosso al Mare.
The stop for La Sosta di Ottone lll in Chiesanuova is 5 km from Levanto and 6 km before Monterosso.
After about 4 km, coming from Levanto, you will see a road on the right with a sign for Chiesanuova. Do Not turn right here as this road will take you to the bottom of the village which is a pedestrian walk way.
La Sosta di Ottone lll is located in the upper part of the village, so please continue another 700 m. passing the village of Legnaro on your left. After 300m you will come to a wide curve on the road where you will find a small space for parking on the left. This parking space is just beyond a driveway with gates also on the left. At the top of the parking space you will also see a cement water tank.
Once you have parked, walk up hill 20 mt. Across the road you will see a break in the guard rail and a path leading to La Sosta di Ottone lll (there is a sign at the beginning of the path indicating the way to La Sosta). If it is dusk you will see a switch which will turn on lights for the path.
After about 60 meters you will come to a group of stone houses; follow the sidewalk around to the left and left again until you come to green gates. Again there is a sign indicating Ottone lll.
