Hotel Villa Oniria
Spain: Andalusia: Granada
Hotel Villa Oniria is a 19th century manor house located in the center of bustling Granada that has been carefully restored and converted, maintaining much of its old Andalusia architecture, into an upscale 31-room hotel. A taste of the property's rich history is showcased with its wonderful inner patio-hall and two indoor fountains. Rooms range from Doubles to Junior Suites, all of which have been tastefully appointed by Pascua Ortega, a famed Spanish interior designer.
A great feature for such a small hotel is the property's spa that includes an indoor heated swimming pool with a current swimming option, Jacuzzi, hydrotherapy showers and sauna. There is also La Fábula, a wonderful restaurant that serves a fusion of traditional Iberian cuisine with a modern flair that is run by recognized local chef, Alvaro Arriaga.
Villa Oniria is a mere 5 minute walk to Granada's old quarter and main cathedral as well as countless tempting "tapas" bars. Aside from discovering this city's magnificent tourist sites, such as the Alhambra and Sacromonte Caves, visitors can take advantage of the Granada's idyllic position within the state of Andalusia and visit the Sierra Nevada mountain range (35 km) and the seaside (65 km).
