The Hotel De La Ville, located just 20 minutes from the center of Milan by train or by taxi, is owned and managed by the gracious Nardi family. The hotel is across the street from the Villa Reale, the former summer residence of the Royal House of Savoy, surrounded by the largest enclosed park in Europe (18 square kilometers). Monza is well known as a mecca for auto racing enthusiasts (hosts the Italian Grand Prix). But many travelers do not realize how charming the town of Monza is, with its pedestrian center lined with wonderful shops and boasting a beautiful cathedral. In the summer of 2005, 16 glamorous new rooms and suites (the first ones!) were added to the hotel. They are in the style of the beautiful villa accommodations that opened five years ago. The villa, adjacent to the hotel, offers five gorgeous deluxe rooms, a stunning junior suite with private access to the garden and a suite, as well as a sauna and little gym. Special amenities are offered to JDB clients staying in the villa, in addition to free parking. The jewel in the Nardi crown is their Derby Grill Restaurant, renowned as one of the area's best tables. It is THE perfect place to enjoy an excellent and impeccably served meal. The drive from the hotel to Malpensa airport takes just enough time for guests to savor the memory of their fabulous dinner at the hotel the night before!
